Andrew Simpson is a writer, director, comedian and performer of South African film and theatre. "Simpson is one of SA's Top Comedians" - The Star "Simpson is Brilliant" - The Cue "A Work of Pure Genius" - Purelylocal In 2016, 3 of Simpson's shows were some of the top selling productions at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown - "Dracula: A Gothic Fairy Tale", "The Time of your Life" and "Hairy Potter". His productions company had the honor of being one of the only production companies to have their own theatre at the festival - the NELM Theatre. He has been featured on 3 Talk with Noeleen, 702 Talk Radio and Radio 2000. He has also performed personally for Former President Nelson Mandela. Simpson’s highlights include performing his hit theatre show “Children of Sophiatown” which he wrote and directed, in the UK, Johannesburg at the Victory Theatre as well as for Former President Nelson Mandela.
